Cyprian's Vade Mecum (2026)

This 48 x 36 inch acrylic on stretched canvas was inspired by the works and the tragic life of the Polish poet Cyprian Norwid. Norwid died alone and unrecognized, pushed aside by the regimes of the era. This work reflects that historical isolation and the weight of that displacement, drawing from the themes found in his poetry. I prefer to let the viewer find their own path through the work. Theme: Original Abstract Painting. Created using Acrylic / Canvas. Prominent colors include: Black, Grey, Charcoal, Silver, Sky Blue, Terracotta, Brown.
